He has encouraged me when hope seemed like a mirage far off in the distance. He has blessed me with sweet summer rains and periods of rest.

He has watered my roots deeply in preparation for the droughts he knew would await me in the desert.

He has taught me how to cling to him in the longest of dry spells. The Lord has been faithful to guide me as I have experienced the heartbreak of being the mom of children who struggled with addiction and mental health issues. This blog was birthed out of the hope that it will inspire and encourage those of you who have also had some curveballs thrown your way. Being a busy, working mom, I buried my desire to write until one day the Lord fanned the little flame that still burned deep within me. Life has thrown me a few curveballs, to say the least.

Not only did I enjoy writing, it was also a means of escape from some stressful circumstances in my childhood, allowing me to express the complicated emotions of adolesence.įast forward many years later my children are now adults. Well, really, I loved to talk, but writing was a close second! In high school I was encouraged by my English teacher to develop my talent for writing. Welcome to The Faith to Flourish.Īs a young girl, I loved to write.
